Between stirs, give your spoon or spatula a place to sit. Clip the crab onto a compatible pan handle and rest the utensil shaft in its claws.
Set it up
Spread. Clip. Rest.
- Start with a cool cookware handle. Gently spread the lower opening with both hands.
- Fit the ring around the handle with the claws facing up.
- Set the utensil shaft in the claw notches and check that it rests securely.

Keep the cooking end over the pan so drips fall back into your cookware instead of onto the counter.
Another way to use your crab
A little gap for steam.
For compatible deep pots, turn the crab sideways and place one end of its silicone ring between the rim and lid. The lid rests on the silicone, leaving a gap for steam to escape.
Use with a stable lid on a compatible deep pot. This lid-rest use is not recommended for shallow pans. Keep monitoring the pot and adjust the heat while cooking.
After the last stir
Rinse, dry. Ready for next time.
Hand-wash with mild dish soap, rinse away cooking residue, and let the holder dry before storing.
